  1. Götterdämmerung - Wagner (Royal Ballet & Opera 2026/27 live)

    2027 · 350 min

    Astor Film Lounge

  2. Royal Ballet & Opera 2026/27: Götterdämmerung

A world in ruins. The downfall of the gods. Deception leads to betrayal and devastation when Siegfried is tricked into betraying Brünnhilde. When she learns of her beloved's innocence, Brünnhilde finally returns the ring to the Rhinemaidens. She then orders Valhalla to be devoured by the flames. For the long-awaited finale to Wagner's epic saga, director Barrie Kosky sets the lush apocalyptic drama in the present day, full of dream-like turbulence. Antonio Pappano, Honorary Conductor of the Royal Opera, returns to tackle the passionate, enraptured score - including Siegfried's funeral march and Brünnhilde's electrifying sacrificial scene. The brilliant ensemble is led by Elisabet Strid, Andreas Schager and Mika Kares, who take this opera to its devastating conclusion with the full power of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and the Royal Opera Chorus.

Why this site?

Frankfurt has an unusually dense cinema scene — the DFF Filmmuseum, Astor, three arthouse houses, Pupille at the university, Programmkino Rex in Darmstadt, the Murnau in Wiesbaden — but no shared programme. This site lays every house onto one searchable day view.
